Estate planning is not just for the wealthy. Estate planning is actually for everybody.
Truly anyone who is an adult person living in this country should have some kind of estate plan in place. Whether that is a basic power of attorney and healthcare directive or something a little more complex, like those things, but a will or a living trust. Everybody needs something.
And many people, you know, do actually need a living trust. You know, living trusts are a very common estate plan that folks have, especially here in California. And you really don’t need to be wealthy, per se, to have a trust. Depends on your specific situation. But that kind of concept that you have to be a millionaire or a billionaire to have something like a living trust really is just not true.
